Motorsport doesn't have to be expensive....
Someone wise once said “The only cheap form of motorsport is Scalextrix.”. Well, whoever said that (I think it was actually me many years ago) has a point. Even “stock” club championships will see you dropping £10k on your first season. All that for 2 sprint races under 20mins long, once a month. It’s no wonder motorsport is reserved for the priviledged!
That is set to change next year....
Pandamonium 2026
A race series designed to be truly budget-friendly. So what's different? First off, it's a series of endurance races. So you get 8 hours of track time (2 hours practice and 6 hours racing) on race day, and you can split the costs with your mates!
Next, there's no requirement for the MSUK national or clubman licence. Driver eligability has 3 criteria.
1) Hold a current DVLA drivers licence.
2)Purchase a day-race licence on the day.
3)Don't be a dick.
That's it. Some basic safety equipment, and an eligable car and you're good to go! Each event day has a 2 hour practice session, so you don't need to book additional testing either.
The cars
Fiat Panda. Our ethos is to make motorsport accessible, so any 169 model Fiat Panda (2003-2012) can be eligable. With 3 classes for the 1.1 eco, the 1.2 dynamic, and the mighty 1.4 16v 100hp at the top of the platform. Donor cars are on marketplace from as little as £500! £2k gets you a decent 100hp.
Mandated Equipment
Whilst we do want to make motorsport more accessible, we don't want to scrimp on safety. Below is the mandated equipment to take your Panda from marketplace banger to track warrior.
If you shop wisely, you can get everything for under £2k. Split between a team of 4 drivers, that’s about as cheap as it can get!
Mandated Parts List
Rollcage - We have a supplier for rollcages priced at £1350. 6point, bolt in, complete with fitting kit and powder coated ready to go.
Bucket seats - Race specific bucket seats mounted securely to the floor.
Harness - Drivers 6 point harness, 3" and in date.
Fire Extinguisher - a plumbed in and in date fire extinguisher.
Kill switch - a dash mounted kill switch with external pull cable to the outside.
Safety sticker set - standard within motorsport for the location of your safety features.
Tow straps - securely mounted to the front and back of your car.
6 hours endurance race.
2 hours practice.
3 classes.
All 3 rounds to count towards championship standings.

Drivers Safety Kit
This is the BARE MINIMUM acceptable to come on track. We highly recommend spending as much as physically possible on your safety kit.
Helmet - must be road legal and in good condition.
Neck restraint - Foam doughnut minimum, HANS recommended.
Race Suit - single layer flame retardant overalls are the bare minimum. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 2/3 layers, plus underwear.
The Venue
Pembrey Circuit, Wales.
Pembrey has hosted Motorsport legends over the years, from British Touring Cars, to Formula one superstars. Ayrton Sennas lap time of 44.43 seconds is probably safe from being broken in a Fiat Panda, but you never know!
Pembrey will host all 3 rounds of the series, again this helps keep costs down. Negating any advantage for those who can afford the money and time to test every time there’s a new circuit.
